Dental Emergencies

We offer same-day emergency dentist appointments to get your oral health back where it should be.

When a dental emergency strikes, time is often of the essence, especially when it comes to saving your tooth from extraction. That’s why we reserve a number of emergency slots each day for when our patients need urgent care and treatment.

Our emergency appointments are designed to send you home with your pain alleviated. We will provide any necessary antibiotics and pain medication and book you in for follow-up restorative treatment if this is clinically appropriate. In some cases, we are able to perform treatment, such as fillings, during your emergency appointment.

Some examples of dental emergencies are:

• A knocked-out or loose tooth.
• Severe and continuous bleeding from the mouth.
• Wisdom tooth pain.
• Broken dentures or dental bridges.
• Swelling in the jaw.

Please phone the practice as early as you can. This will ensure you are seen as soon as possible. Our opening hours can be found here.

Our friendly reception team will ask you to describe your symptoms. You may be contacted by a dentist, who may need to give you clinical advice while you wait for your appointment. Once you have been seen, your dentist may request a follow-up check-up or a follow-up restorative appointment.

You will be given clear aftercare instructions. However, we encourage patients to contact us if anything is unclear or if they have any questions once they leave our dental practice in Mitcham.
